Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 60 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
An excellent opportunity exists for someone to join the Regional Express team in the role of Catering Port Supervisor in Sydney.
Reporting
The Catering Port Supervisor will report directly to the National Airports Manager.
Position Responsibility
•Receipt, issue and dispatch of catering items and bar items
•Warehouse duties
•Knowledge of HCCAP
•Stock control – perishable and non-perishable
•Supply reports to the Catering Manager
•Data entry input as required
•Ensure integrity of all products
•Manage the Catering Officers (incl rosters)
•Support Catering Officers (leave coverage)
•Truck maintenance/servicing/registrations/airside vehicle permits etc
•ASIC’s/airside driver’s license/regular vehicle licenses
•All training of Catering Officers including maintaining and control of Catering Officer’s Fork lift license/DG Certificates.
•Ensuring cost effectiveness and efficiency is maintained
•Ensure compliance with all Company Policy and Procedures and Company reporting (IT, PH & S, etc)
Essential Selection Criteria
•Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and airside drivers license
•Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings and weekend work
•High standard of physical fitness
•High standard of professionalism
•Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on time performance
•Ability to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test will apply
•Previous airline experience is preferred but not essential.
