Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 60 destinations throughout all states in Australia.

An excellent opportunity exists for an ideal candidate to join Regional Express as a part-time Catering Officer at our Melbourne Airport Operations.

Reporting
The Catering Officer will report directly to the Melbourne Catering Port Supervisor.

Position Responsibility
•Service each aircraft/turnaround duties including delivering of catering supplies to each aircraft (drinks, snacks, hot water, and dry stores)
•Re-stocking of catering vehicles
•Communicating with other departments via radio
•Warehouse duties

Essential Selection Criteria
•Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and airside driver’s license
•Able to adhere to all safety and security directives
•Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings, and weekend work
•High standard of physical fitness
•High standard of professionalism
•Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on-time performance
•Previous airline experience is preferred but not essential
