Comair Limited, a JSE listed Aviation Company, is looking for applicants for a Catering Logistics Supervisor based in Johannesburg, Gauteng at Comair Operations Building situated in Rhodesfield. The Catering Logistics Supervisor will be required to create the provisional catering on-off loading schedule and to ensure that correct meals and equipment are prepared and loaded.

Key Performance Areas:

* To supervise the Catering Logistics process by ensuring that the team deliver with regard to set performance expectations
* To perform relevant people management functions within the Catering Logistics Unit
* To create the provisional catering on-off loading schedule.
* To prepare plans for exceptional events
* To review and improve current Catering Logistics processes
* To update required spreadsheets and to resolve any Logistics or Planning issues
* To liaise with internal stakeholders and service providers in order to ensure the communication and coordination is consistent and appropriate.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Essential)

• 3 year’s airline operations experience (Essential)

• Administrative experience (Essential)

• Airline Catering experience (Desirable)

• Experience working on FLY & Sabre (Desirable)

Additional Details:

Purpose and Context: The Catering Logistics Supervisor reports directly to the Catering Technical and Logistics Manager. The incumbent is responsible for creating the provisional on-off loading catering schedule. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and investigating catering delays, gathering different statistics, analysing trends and creating monthly delay reports. The incumbent will also investigate and provide feedback on all logistics related flight reports or passenger complaints. The incumbent will also reconcile the stand-by meals as well as bar usage and provide reports weekly and monthly. At all times taking into consideration safety, security and quality assurance requirements.
