Purpose

The Cargo Market Development Specialist acts as a bridge between Head Office and a number of sales areas, supporting outport sales teams with sales and pricing tools, as well as directions to capitalize business potentials while feeding into network needs.

Key responsibilities and tasks

* Identify and capitalize potential revenue opportunities of assigned markets.

* Advise regional/country sales team on pricing and sales strategy to best capture the markets by segmentation.

* Embrace and capitalize innovation by extracting idea, developing action plan, executing the process, measuring the result, reviewing performance and improving over time.

* Coordinate with different Cargo Commercial sub-teams to identify network needs, optimize port allocation, improve revenue quality/process and enhance network capacity deployment.

Qualifications / Experience

* This position requires tertiary education qualifications preferably with a specialization in business or related subjects.

* Minimum 2 years relevant experience, in the commercial field such as sales, marketing, revenue management, business analysis, cargo related field, etc. Hands-on knowledge in international airline industry and market is preferred. Understanding of air cargo industry will be an advantage.

* Strong analytical and numerical skills.

* Polished communication and interpersonal skills with experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.

* Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in spoken Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) would be a definite advantage.

* Able to travel overseas when required.
