TAA are delighted to support their client at Heathrow for a Cabin Engineering Supervisor.

Four on four off shift

Role Purpose - this provides an overview of the main objectives of the role

To ensure that the Engineering team are competent and trained to ensure that at all times they carry out the necessary tasks and activities to the highest standards and to liaise with our customers on delivery of their requirements and instructions.

Key responsibilities - these are descriptive of the key elements of the role but are not an exhaustive list

  • Management of customer requirements, liaison with customers on defects and resolution to customer issues and problems
  • Manage staff performance, enforce HR policies & procedures, manage time & attendance of staff and implement absence and disciplinary processes as required
  • Manage all tools and materials and take responsibility for ensuring they are accounted for at all times
  • Enforce Health & Safety regulations, ensure all staff are aware of H&S procedures and their responsibility in their implementation
  • Follow all necessary security procedures both within the Hangar and airside
  • Repair aircraft seats and other non-electrical aircraft interior components. To CMM, SB and Part 145 regulations/standards
  • Complete seat work sheet and file Job I.A.W 145 standards
  • To cut & over lock and fit aircraft carpets
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the relevant quality standards both from a customer requirement and CAA compliance
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and compliance documentation required by both the company and the customer 

Key skills/experience/qualifications – these identify the necessary competencies to carry out the role

  • Qualified in engineering discipline
  • 5+ years previous experience in a similar role
  • 5+ years at managing large multi-sited and multi-functional teams
  • Able to deputise for the Operations Manager
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proven experience of customer management and liaison
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as Drawings, safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
  • Part 145 regulations and standards and ISO/2008 certification
  • Safe working practices
  • Driving licence
