We are now seeking applications for the role of Cabin Crew Base Manager at our Dublin base. This role is a full-time, permanent position and will comprise of both office and flying duties.

 

The Cabin Crew Base Manager has overall responsibility for the management, welfare and performance of all Cabin Crew at base ensuring that all Cabin Crew operate to the required standard.

 

 Duties & responsibilities include:

·         Fly regularly as cabin crew, both as part of rostered crew and as supernumerary (min. of 2 sectors) to monitor safety & service standards and crew performance.

·         Ensure cabin crew read and understand roster protocol, completion & submission of expenses reports and leave application process.

·         In association with the Head of Cabin Operations (HOCO), deal with any disciplinary issues relating to cabin crew.

·         Monitor individual cabin crew performance with attention to attendance, punctuality, inflight service delivery, uniform and grooming regulations and customer service.

·         Monitor cabin crew compliance regarding the Electronic Read & Sign of SEP memos and CCIs as issued by Head of Cabin Operations (HOCO) & the Chief Instructor (CI).

·         Complete annual appraisals on all cabin crew at base and forward details to HR & HOCO.

·         Complete debrief with each Cabin crew member following any serious incident.

·         Oversee all Cabin Operations Flight Reports and Q-Pulse reports.

·         Ensure return and banking of all money pouches for all duties by cabin crew.

·         Ensure Inflight Sales cash prepared for collection.

·         Follow up on all discrepancies with individual crew members and compile written file notes for crew personal files.

·         Ensure EPOS devices are kept serviceable and report any irregularities to Inflight Catering Manager (ICM).

·         Ensure crew room is kept clean, tidy, well presented and fully stocked with up to date paperwork and money pouches.

·         Complete 3 aircraft visits per calendar month to conduct grooming checks, HACCP audit & Cleaning Check.

·         Assist & communicate regularly with SACG representatives in relation to distribution of information and clarification of same.

·         Ensure crew are issued with uniform dry-cleaning vouchers twice annually.

·         Generate and distribute annual Uniform Reissue Order for all cabin crew at base ensuring every crew member receives their entitlement.

·         Application and distribution of ad-hoc uniform requests to HOCO.

·         Complete a Base Manager Appraisal with HOCO annually.

·         Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Cabin Operations.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

·           Must be current Senior Cabin Crew as the role includes flying duties;

·           Strong leadership and organisational skills;

·           Ability to perform to a high standard in a pressurised environment, demonstrating resilience, flexibility and tenacity;

·           High energy, with an excellent work ethic with a can-do attitude and approach;

·           Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate equally well to senior management as well as own team and colleagues in the Company;

·           Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organisation and with business partners;

·           Experience driving improvement and innovating new processes;

·           A proven track record of excellent performance;

·           Computer skills developed to a high standard in Excel, Word and PowerPoint or similar, with excellent administration and organisational skills;

·           Complete confidentiality and discretion when dealing with crew related issues.

·           Ability to act in an impartial manner;

·           Current holder of a Cabin Crew Line Trainer position is an advantage but not necessary;

·           Previous people management experience preferable.  (Management training will be provided).

Further information about this appointment:

·         The successful candidate will be rostered for Base Manager duties as and when needed for the role. When not acting as Base Manager you will fulfil your role as Senior Cabin Crew member.

·         Successful candidates will be required to give a full-time commitment to this role and must be flexible in accommodating the role’s requirements into their roster pattern.  

·         This appointment is a permanent position with 6 months’ probation period.

·         Office day duties and flying duties will be based at Dublin base. Some flexibility may be required to accommodate the company’s requirements.
