Authority, duties and responsibilities of the Cabin Crew Member

 Duties and Responsibilities of Cabin Crew

All Cabin Crew Members shall hold a valid attestation issued by the Bulgarian CAA with respective type rating, shall hold a valid medical certificate and shall have passed successfully the necessary trainings, Line trainings and Line Checks, recorded in their personal logbooks.

Each Cabin Crew Member shall:

- be responsible for the validity of his personal documents;

- check personally his/her roster;

- attend all ground training and training courses as well as company briefings;

- - copy each validation of his personal documents, courses, certificates, other certificates, etc. All copies shall be presented at Cabin Staff Department.

(a) Cabin Crew General Duties

- the safety of passengers and crew as well as safety and safeguard of the load on board under the authority and responsibility of the PIC;

- the satisfactory service of passengers; 

(b) Cabin Crew General Responsibilities

All Cabin Crew Members shall:

- meet Company’ requirements concerning appearance, behavior, qualification and second language abilities;

- achieve a high level of knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures and be able to apply them if necessary;

- follow strictly the requirements of all documents concerning the overall activity of Cabin Staff;

- attend all seasonal training courses and company briefings;

- address Cabin Staff Manager on operational matters.

Pre-Flight

Cabin Crew shall report for duty at the Base airport at the designated place 1 hour prior to schedule time of departure or as advised by the company Operation or Crew Planning Department. Duty time ends 30 min. after “on block time” in the last sector of the flight duty period.

Each Cabin Crew Member shall be completely prepared for duty.

In-Flight

Each Cabin Crew Member shall:

- be responsible for the life and safety of passengers if an emergency situation arises;

- provide first aid to passengers and crew if necessary;

- do his best to achieve a satisfactory service standard;

- obey the PIC’s orders;

- the Purser shall write a report to Cabin Staff Department in case of any incident on board the aircraft.

Stand-by Duty

When a CCM is performing stand-by duty, he/she shall:

- be ready to perform a flight duty in case a scheduled Crew Member has not arrived on time.

Note: When a CCM performs a stand-by duty at the airport, he/she must be fully uniformed! Cabin Staff General Responsibilities

Each Cabin Crew Member shall be responsible for:

- the safety of passengers and crew during flight;

- the company’s property on board the aircraft;

- all documents on board concerning Cabin Crew and passengers;

- the company’s official secrets;
