Job Title: C-130 Aircraft Engineer


Aeropeople have an exciting new permanent opportunity for a C-130 Aircraft Engineer at our prestigious aerospace and defence client based in Oxfordshire.

Our client specialises in the conversion, modification, maintenance and support of civil and military aircraft, defence vehicle engineering, shelter manufacture, composite solutions and the provision of personnel, training and advice. They are renowned and respected worldwide for their quality of service, engineering excellence, flexibility and reliability.

We are looking for an experienced C130 Aircraft Engineer for the rectification and repair of the C-130 Hercules. Task will include functional testing, embodiment of modifications, technical instructions and scheduled maintenance. The ideal candidate will comply with procedures and practices laid down in local regulations and company management system procedures (MSP), or as directed by the relevant Team Leader. Tasks also include the compilation and Co-ordination of maintenance Work Orders, both manually and using the computerised LITS system.

Job Description:

* Ensure all quality and regulatory requirements and standards are maintained.
* Certify work carried out by the production operatives within the scope of his or her individual approvals.
* Manage internal and external relationships with customers, aircraft tradesmen, other departments and take an active role to mentor staff.
* Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and activity to ensure that progressive gains in efficiency are maintained.
* This position can require varying work hours, on days and or shifts in support of customer requirements.

Experience/Qualifications:

* Have an Aeronautical apprenticeship and/or military equivalent and recent experience of Avionic and Electrical systems.
* Have relevant experience of Avionic/Electrical and Mechanical systems.
* Have relevant experience of LITS.
* Have a proven track record in the Aerospace industry and evidence to support this (preferably evidence of certification/approval/authorisations).
* Hold a current UK Driving Licence.
* FLT Experience but training will be provided if required, Desirable.
* Possess a sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
