Business Improvement Leader

Do you have a strong focus on simplification and improvement? Do you enjoy working with business improvement and coaching others?

We are looking for an experienced leader who can help us with our transformation journey and create the foundations for continuous improvement in our organization. Continually improving the quality of our services and moving waste from our processes will drive our costs down further. We need strong profiles that can create the change in leadership mind-set that will deliver us tangible results ensuring we become the first truly Lean airline.

We believe you have senior management experience from an international company. You have at least 8+ years’ leadership experience and have driven change in transactional and operational processes. You possess a process mindset that enables you to challenge ways of working and continually improve. A career in an industry and/or production environment as a line manager is a strong merit.

You recognize that change is as much about leadership development as it is about process improvement. This role is about team-work, flexibility and influencing senior colleagues. Highly organized, you will be capable of balancing the needs of the organization during periods of transformational change. You will also have the ability to build rapport, cement relationships and influence others, including senior colleagues. We can offer you a challenging job where you have the opportunity to influence the development of Lean in SAS.

Your assignments will be:

* Responsibility for creating transformation

* Being a change agent and business improvement leader

* Responsible for lean competence development

* Identify initiatives that contribute to business process improvement

* Facilitate in the implementation of initiatives within areas that will drive behavioural change

* Ensure strong follow-up and implement reviews with management

* Develop the competence map that will support, coach and develop leaders

* Develop and maintain the transformation of continuous improvement in SAS

* Drive local as well as cross functional breakthrough projects with clear business effects throughout the organization

Experience:

* Experience from a line manager role in an industry or production environment

* 8+ years of leadership experience

* A great communicator at all levels of the business

* Strong leadership qualities with genuine interest and capability to develop people and teams

* A desire to develop yourself and transfer learning to others

* Extensive experience in leadership coaching and effecting change

Lean in SAS

We believe that a Lean culture will ultimately lead to a stronger and more competitive SAS and we aim to develop this culture through working with wanted behaviours and mindset in our leaders and employees.

The SAS Lean journey started in Operations in 2010 and has evolved to become a strategic priority throughout SAS with focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employees, and Cost. We have a Lean program covering most part of the organization and work cross functionally with a value stream approach. You will be involved in setting structured ways of working, whilst supporting and driving initiatives that contribute to our business performance.
