About the Role

As a Business Development Manager with Virgin Australia your key accountability will be to win new, and renew existing corporate air travel business for the airline. You will develop strong relationships with corporate travel management companies and prospective clients, presenting compelling commercial offers and ultimately to securing revenue for Virgin Australia.

Other responsibilities will include:

* Implementing deals on behalf of Virgin Australia and ensuring that new clients’ own change management processes run smoothly so that the switch to our airline is positive for all parties.

* Exploring opportunities to expand Virgin Australia’s share of the domestic and international corporate air travel market from clients based in Queensland

* A range of tasks associated with the retention and acquisition of corporate accounts, ensuring that our corporate clients and their TMCs receive outstanding customer service.

What you’ll need:

* Proven understanding and insight to Business to Business (B2B) sales.

* Experience constructing commercial value propositions within a highly competitive environment.

* High level of computer literacy and comfort in using Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as web-based analysis and CRM tools.

* Proven experience in sales or service industry

* Proven experience in influencing change in people or in an organisation.

* Experience in seeking new business opportunities, working and growing a commercial pipeline and strong negotiation skills are a must

* Be hungry for getting new business
