Business Analyst

About the role:

This role will see you join Virgin Australia’s Business Transformation team and drive and guide Business Analysis on large programs of work across multiple work streams. Liaising with business stakeholders, you will define their problems, opportunities, requirements and business process with a view to providing quality and usable outcomes. Other key responsibilities of the role will include:

* Facilitating workshops within multiple streams of work

* Soliciting business requirements to help model business process change influence and drive the elicitation of business requirements

* Engaging key stakeholders and building confidence across the business in your team’s ability to deliver quality outcomes

* Liaising with all areas across of Business to ensure requirements are understood and delivered

* Assessing and communicating the impact of issues and changes to your manager, project manager and stakeholders

A strategic thinker. You think logically and creatively to develop pragmatic and effective change management strategies and plans for enterprise wide change initiatives.

An influencer. You can adapt your communication style to effectively work with and influence different personnel, internally and externally.

An incredible communicator. You pride yourself on your verbal and written communication skills. You have the ability to prepare and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the business, including senior executives.

A people person. You collaborate and engage with the internal and external stakeholders understanding relationships are key.

What you’ll need:

* Demonstrated experience working on large, complex projects

* Strong communication skills

* In depth experience of process re-engineering techniques and modelling skills

* Relevant degree qualifications or equivalent experience

* Proven leadership on large and complex projects

* 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Airline industry

* Proven experience in analysing and documenting user requirements and processes as well as providing consulting services to testing and development teams through project delivery

* Experience liaising with development and test teams
