Bay Manager BM

Austrian Airlines Technik-Bratislava, or ATB for short, was founded and built up in order to provide first-class base maintenance specifically for Fokker 70/100 aircrafts. We were established at the end of 2006, as subsidiary of the Austrian Airlines AG. At this time ATB is specialized Base Maintenance Provider for Fokker 70/100, Embraer 170/190 Series and Bombardier Q400 aircraft with its home at Bratislava Airport. We currently hold an EASA Part-145 Approval and CASA Approval Certificate.

Your tasks:

The BM is responsible for the full scope of the bay requirements and ensures the proper, safe and on-time accomplishment of minor and major maintenance checks, repairs and modification of customer aircraft. At the same time, the BM is responsible in ensuring that the bay is commercially viable for efficiency, productivity and budget (mh, material)

Specific:

• Manage the preparation, execution and assessment of all aircraft layover projects assigned to their bay through personnel and technical leadership in a consistent manner, ensuring project goals and targets are achieved;
• Lead the project within estimated TAT, within ATB‘s quality standard and within given cost range to the customer;
• Ensure regular effective communication takes place with the respective members, project teams and customer;
• Plan, organize, set priorities, implement and control workload, resources and operating environment of the bay to ensure the performance are within the department‘s set standards and objectives.
• Review and if necessary rework together with planning and engineering department prepared GTO and Milestone plan before paperwork will be distributed to hangar;
• Responsible that all internal procedures performed by Base Maintenance staff and contracted personnel in hangar are executed acc. EASA regulations and ATB procedures;
• Distribute the required work to Shift Managers;
• Manage short-term planning of Base Maintenance personnel in his bay;
• Discuss with other BM about personnel partitioning between bays and organize exchange of personnel between bays;
• Arrange together with Head of Workshop the sequence of repairs, Mod’s, SB’s which have to be organized;
• Check of all paperwork for correct filled out work orders, task cards, form sheets, and for completeness at the end of a ground time;
• Make reports about actual project to Head of Base Maintenace;
• Report each event which causes a delay of ground time immediately to Head of Base Maintenance;
• Manage customer meetings and communications when necessary;
• Closely cooperate with onside customer representative;
• BM of dedicated ground time has to lead the daily production meeting;
• Cooperate with planning department closely about Base Maintenance shift plan;
• Keep overview about educational and qualification level of his bay members.

 

Your profile:

• 3 year holder of valid Part-66 license (B1or B2) as minimum
• good English knowledge
• previous experience with leading teams
• No criminal report
