This announcement is for an Avionics Technician with Ravn Air Group. This position reports to the Avionics Shop Manager and is responsible for the testing and repair of equipment and electrical accessories as assigned. The successful candidate will be capable of immediately attaining the FAA Repairman Certificate, and must have a high attention to detail.

This is a non-exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position typically works Monday through Friday in Anchorage, however overtime may be required as dictated by business needs and with management approval.

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma/GED required, college education is preferred.
* At least 18 months of relevant avionics repair experience.
* Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel.
* A very keen eye for detail and strong record-keeping abilities.
* Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Must be able to identify, resolve and/or escalate problems in a timely manner.
* Able to pass a background check.
* Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.

Duties & Responsibilities.

* Responsible for assuring that the repair and overhaul of all articles and components within the Repairman’s jurisdiction is accomplished within the authority of the Repair Station and that the work is inspected by an Authorized Inspector.
* Training and assisting subordinates in the proper work procedures and practices to be followed.
* The maintenance of each department’s equipment and tools.
* Ascertaining that all necessary maintenance entries on maintenance forms and work orders used by the Repair Station are properly executed by the responsible technicians.
* Initiating purchase requisitions for stock as required.
* The proper handling of all parts while in repair process through the Avionics Shop and when work is completed.
* The preservation of all units or parts during process through the shops and when work is completed.
* To insure that the Avionics Shop premises are kept in a clean and orderly manner.
* The maintenance of all the department’s equipment and tools.

* Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
