Responsibilities:





· Provide overall support for bid requests in avionics installations, modifications, and upgrades



· Read, review, and dissect requests for proposal (RFP), requests for quotation (RFQ), invitations to bid (ITB) and requests for information (RFI)



· Manage all proposal documents received and maintain all data, determine if estimate or formal quote is required, and create formal avionics proposals



· Utilize company cost building templates to create, modify and provide accurate pricing information including labor estimates, parts, engineering/service fees, and miscellaneous costs



· Collaborate internally to gather and obtain necessary information, working with different business units such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and Engineering



· Coordinate calls at the pre-response and the post-award phase with the Avionics Project Manager to ensure proper handoff of documentation and all required information



· Maintain quote tracking status and provide revisions as needed to produce customer satisfaction



· Maintain current pricing database from vendors and internal sales spreadsheets; manage incentive programs to ensure accurate and competitive proposals are generated



· Provide Sales Team with supporting documentation required for sales completion



· Attend customer meetings, participate in sales calls



· Demonstrate thorough understanding of technical data such as OEM Service Bulletins and STC’s, seek out other approval methods to properly install equipment per the latest FAA requirements



· Maintain industry knowledge and familiarity with existing and next generation avionics products and systems



· Provide support to planning to ensure a smooth handoff to operations department



· Assist in planning and coordinating avionic events with planning and operations prior to aircraft arrival



· Perform other duties, assignments, or special projects as needed





Requirements:




* Relevant experience in avionics installations highly desired
* 3-5 years of previous proposal and technical writing desired, not required
* Strong understanding of FAA and EASA regulations and requirements applicable to FAR Part 23 & 25 aircraft.
* Knowledge of Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, and Garmin Avionics Systems preferred
* Ability to prioritize customer and sales team needs, manage multiple proposals in all stages
* General :
understanding of avionics technology, process, and customer base
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills
* Knowledge of complex sales practices and RFP processes
* Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
* Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
* Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
