Works with the Landing Systems, Actuation Systems, Propeller Systems, Cargo, and Hoist & Winch businesses to develop long-range business objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability. Responsible for integrating strategies into a strategic plan, and ensuring execution of strategies, with the objective of growing the business organically and through M&A initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Analysis of environment for business opportunities and surveillance of the market. Keeps the leadership team informed on key trends, segment risks and opportunities.
* Establish and execute a competitive analysis process across Landing Systems, Actuation Systems, Propeller Systems, Cargo, and Hoist & Winch.
* Deploys robust strategic planning processes across Landing Systems, Actuation Systems, Propeller Systems, Cargo, and Hoist & Winch, including collaborating with finance and the businesses to establish a portfolio process for prioritization of investment decisions.
* Establishes tight linkage with UTAS level strategy organization, leveraging organization wide knowledge and process to create value, synergies and technologies to drive future growth and market opportunities.
* Support M&A activity as required, including strategic analysis of acquisition candidates.

Qualification:
* Significant leadership roles and results in strategy in the aerospace industry.
* Solid analytical skills, business and technical acumen.
* Strong problem solving ability to identify innovative solutions to achieve strategic objectives.
* Superior interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills, ability to effectively present ideas to senior leadership and influence key decision makers.
* Strong drive for results in a matrix organization.
* Superior leadership and teamwork skills.
* Strong persuasion and influencing skills to achieve business objectives.
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task amidst rapid change.
* Strong bias for action with ability to produce results.

Education:
* Bachelors degree is required.
* Masters degree is preferred.
