Purpose:

Assist the Group Security Manager – Compliance to ensure the Airline Group (Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon) operations meet regulatory and corporate requirements.

Key responsibilities:

* Deputise for the Group Security Manager - Compliance when required.

* Drafting security related documentation such as security programmes and instructions for approval by Group Security Manager - Compliance.

* Assist with preparation and liaison for the Airline Group (Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon) bi-annual IATA Operational Safety Audit.

* Work closely with line departments to ensure the Airline Group operations is in compliance to government security regulations and in conformity to company procedures.

* Coordinate investigation and follow up of security incidents and complaints reported in the Aviation Quality Database (AQD).

* Conduct security trainings for Cathay Dragon flight deck and cabin crew members and review training syllabus to ensure requirements are met.

* Oversee and review operations of Airline Group ID room and Crew Channels including liaison with stakeholders such as technical vendors, AVSECO and Immigration.

* Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments throughout the network and make appropriate recommendations for any deficiencies identified.

* Identify any related issues that could pose security risks to the operations of Airline Group operations and give appropriate recommendations.

* As secondary point of contact of Cathay Dragon for security issues including represent Group Security Function at various monthly action group meetings and E&A representative.

* Undertake projects as directed by Group Security Manager and Group Security Manager - Compliance.

* Perform operational shift duties at HKIA when required by security management, and provide supervisory support for security operations team in handling of ad-hoc security incidents occurring in-flight and HKIA

Requirements:

* Form 7 standards

* Minimum 5 years-experience in airline industry, preferably airline security experience

* Available 24/7 to respond to urgent security incidents.

* Flexible, able to travel at short notice.

* Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with / influence people at all levels and in a multi-cultural working environment.

* Effective communication skills, proven command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

* Knowledge in CX’s Aviation Quality Database (AQD).
