Job Summary
To assist in all month end procedures including P&L preparation, forecasting, managing & posting of accruals & prepayments.
Month end and year end reporting and reconciliations will also be a vital role for the successful candidate. 
 

   

Job Responsibilities

  • Secondary approving invoices for payment
  • Dealing with petty cash claims, cheque requisitions and expenses.
  • Control and maintain a number of station accruals and prepayments
  • P&L variance analysis with commentary
  • Collate weekly reports from the various stations in preparation for forecasting
  • Data entry of KPI’s into Business/Management Pack
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and budgetary process
  • Assistance to auditors when required
  • Assist with year-end reconciliations
  • Liaison with billing team over rebates and prepare for accrual input
  • Assist in all aspects of investigation and trend analysis when required
  • Ad-hoc reporting requirements

  • Minimum of 4 GCSE’s grade A – C including English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Computer literate, with an extensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint. MS Access knowledge will be considered an advantage
  • AAT Qualified or part qualified
  • Understanding of Cargo operation is desirable
  • Confident, positive, focused and self-motivated
  • Ability and willingness to show initiative
     
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Experience of working within a finance department
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Willingness to work as a team player and prepared to assist other colleagues as and where required and show initiative
  • Good written and spoken English and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work closely with other departments and managers.
