Aero Air, LLC is accepting resumes for an Assistant Chief Pilot

The Assistant Chief Pilot is responsible for ensuring all aviation training activities are in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations as well as managing logistical elements involved in that training. The Assistant Chief Pilot is responsible to the Chief Pilot, and will assist him/her in duties as appropriate. These duties may evolve as the company and the individual grow.

This position will be based at KHIO, but will involve some level of travel, for management or pilot coverage purposes.

The primary characteristics sought for the Assistant Chief Pilot position is energy and aptitude to assist the Chief Pilot in helping Aero Air continue to grow its expanding aviation based enterprise.

Essential Duties:

* Assisting in solving complex issues using aviation knowledge and experience.

* Training management over 50% of the time.

* Travel to offsite bases to train and coach.

* Organize and track pilot records, understanding PRIA requirements.

* Good communication skills, ability to speak to crowds of all sizes.

* Ability to accept guidance, but also problem solve with little or no guidance to make important decisions and help keep the flight operations on track.

* Back up pilot for flight ops when needed.

Qualifications for the Assistant Chief Pilot:

* Prefer at least one year of management experience in a hospital EMS transport service or equivalent management experience

* Prefer at least three years of experience as a part 135 pilot

* Airline Transport Pilot certification (ATP) preferred

* Current Certified Flight Instructor certification (CFI) desirable

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to readily learn new database program(s)

* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

* Must be able to take initiative to implement and improve procedures and programs.

* Favorable results from pre-employment drug test and criminal background check required.
