Job Purpose: The Assistant Chief Pilot – Fight Standards Manager serves as the System Chief Pilot’s representative in the development and management of Dynamic Aviation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the oversight of SOP compliance, and the provision of flight operations technical support for King Air and Dash 8 aircraft.

Duties:

* Develop and maintain SOP and supporting materials such as checklists; QRHs; speed cards; performance cards for standard and modified airframes
* Provide subject matter expertise on standard and modified aircraft performance; on weight and balance; for new aircraft project and program development, and for Safety Occurrence Investigations
* Certify Instructor Pilots and Training Captains
* Perform line pilot, Training Captain and Instructor Pilot line checks to ensure proficiency, standardization, SOP compliance, and performance of mission requirements at all company locations
* Perform base standardization audits, to include at least pre-mission planning, mission briefing, risk assessment, mission execution, post-mission debrief procedures
* Perform all levels of aircraft return to service flights and engineering test flights
* Augment Flight Ops Training
* Other duties as assigned

Interpersonal communication skills

Ability to objectively evaluate, train, and document pilot performance
Possess a complete understanding of:

* weight and balance
* performance
* modification status
* limitations
* mission requirements
* FAA and military regulatory requirements, i.e., Experimental Category; CFR part 137; Joint Instructions; Ground and Flight Procedures; DCMA; Army Maintenance Test Flight Procedures or Non-standard Aircraft Maintenance Test Flight Procedures
* return to service, EMI/EMS testing, flare testing and engineering test flight procedures and requirements for modified aircraft
Maintain ISR deployable status
* Ability to successfully complete an FAA Type Rating Course in the DHC-8

Job Experience: Demonstrated performance as a Captain in a changing and demanding flight and work environment.
