About The Job

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly responsible for the oversight of staff (Mgmt. and IAM) who perform analyses to support aircraft on ground, material needs for scheduled routine overnight maintenance (RON), scheduled routine over day maintenance (ROD) and scheduled turnaround maintenance (T/O).

Responsible for critical decision making in regards to material distribution for aircraft ensuring optimization of the Company’s assets.

Maintain awareness of the Company’s critical material requirements.

Oversee development, implementation and management of departmental procedures.

Assist in co-managing either department (AOG or MCU), as well as keeping constant watch of daily operation, out of service AC as it relates to parts and ensure we are always seeking the best solution in returning an AC to service.

Create and maintain reporting tools to measure support efficiency and provide data for developing improvements.

Act as a point of contact for customer concerns related to material availability and departmental performance.

Actively manages the performance of direct reports, directs, motivates, performance evaluations, conducts counseling sessions and provides regular feedback.

Help manage projects or strategic initiatives that directly impact the department and operation.

Must be customer focused, results driven with the ability to engage with all departments utilizing your strong relationship skills.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Business, Logistics Management, or related field or equivalent experience/training.

5 years work experience in a leadership/management role.

3 years Airline Supply Chain experience.

Willing to work nights, weekends & Holidays as well as be on call for operational support.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous airline maintenance & operational experience preferred.

Proven experience in strong people management skills (Lead, empower & motivate).

Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) systems; knowledge of AAPICS, RES/DECS, SAP and SCEPTRE preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization as well as with external contacts.

Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, shift priorities as needed and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office software, Workbrain, Sabre, SAP & Sceptre.
