Job Description

The Digital Strategy Analyst/Senior Analyst is responsible for developing, executing and communicating the strategic plan for our customer facing digital products, including aa.com, mobile.aa.com, mobile app and notifications. This role has a primary focus on working with internal business groups, and external vendors as required, to create a cohesive plan that results in the identification and implementation of functionality that improves the customer experience, increases online engagement and conversions, reduces costs and/or generates incremental revenue. 
 
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with key business unit stakeholders to understand their objectives and ensure alignment with overall digital roadmap and goals
  • Effectively communicate the aa.com strategic plan to key stakeholders and leadership 
  • Conduct continuous competitive benchmarking and digital industry research to identify emerging technologies, trends and opportunities for innovation and optimization
  • Proactively identify and balance customer and organizational needs, driving towards appropriate technology solutions
  • Manage project request intake and prioritization processes, including business case evaluations and comparative benefit impacts
  • Collaborate with Analytics team to develop metrics and identify testing and optimization opportunities
  • Leverage website performance data insights to drive strategy evolution
  • Provide project updates to leadership team and key stakeholders, coordinating and facilitating meetings as necessary
  • Represent Digital Strategy function as required in cross-departmental meetings and taskforces
  • Complete ad hoc projects as required

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, an individual must have the following skills, knowledge and/or experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field and at least 2-5 years relevant web/digital/interactive marketing work experience, preferably in an e-Commerce environment; MBA preferred
  • Strong business acumen coupled with a solid understanding of web technologies and functionality, prior experience driving the development of digital features/functionality is a plus
  • Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities with an emphasis on strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Ability to identify KPIs and conduct analysis to measure success of business objectives
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities, deadlines and business values
  • Forward-thinking self-starter who can transition easily between independent and collaborative team structures
  • Creative problem-solving skills essential
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills with an ability to create consensus and achieve results
  • Strong written/oral communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver clear, concise presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels within and outside of the company
  • An ability to influence others to achieve results
  • Must be able to maintain a high performance level and deliver strong results while still managing to have fun
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Flexible and adaptable in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to travel domestic and international up to 25%
