Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management, Airport Development & Technical Services this position is responsible for supporting annual budgeting activities, quarterly forecasting, asset performance/reliability analysis and modeling for the Technical Performance team. This position will be under the Technical Performance unit within Airport Development & Technical Services.

* Understands the business; develops or improves upon appropriate benchmarks

* Conducts ongoing analysis of the performance SLA supported systems at Toronto Pearson and provide recommendations and strategies to improve and monitor performance

* Provides pro-active, value-added analytics and reporting for the AD&TS team that will support senior management in decision making and will provide valuable tools and business development insights for the team.

* Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial and business performance analysis, including understanding trends and data insights

* Identify process gaps, continuous improvement initiatives and provide trend analysis pertaining to critical business issues, identify viable solutions and communicate appropriately

* Conducts root-cause analysis and gathers insights for application to the management of the business.

* Coordinate the collection of data/information from internal and external sources to perform analysis to support the AD&TS SLA performance in line with Terminal and Aviation Infrastructure negotiated targets

* Conduct SLA reviews on a timely basis, maintains schedules of reviews, and offers process improvements to the review format

* Design and develop the forecasting process based on trend analysis

* Frames and conducts complex analysis in support of AD&TS SLA and system strategy development, including analysis of related work programs, initiatives and contract performance

* Coordinates the collection of metrics to assist related business case development

* Prepare management reports on all work programs, initiatives and contracts related to SLA metrics and performance

* In conjunction with Functional Managers, Associate Directors and Directors, participate in strategy development and design of initiatives to support process improvement and reporting in areas that produce SLA metrics and drive overall operational excellence

* Support the design, development and implementation of initiatives through facilitation of meetings and working groups

* Participate in Maintenance Improvement Teams (MIT’s) and relative initiatives

Qualifications

* Completion of post-secondary degree/diploma in Airport Management, Manufacturing or Business Analysis

* A recognized Facilities Maintenance designation or advanced standing towards same is preferred (BOMI, PEMAC, etc.)

* Minimum of 2 years Business analytics experience in a Manufacturing, Facilities or Airport environment

* Valid Ontario Driver’s License

* Must be able to obtain a DA AVOP

* Must meet the security level designated for the position

* Demonstrated skill and experience in manipulating and interpreting data, predicting trends, establishing priorities, solving problems and a strong ability to perform sound business analysis and reporting

* Ability to think big picture and work with minute details

* Ability to influence decisions based on relevant business issues and supporting data

* Advanced analytical skills with demonstrated understanding of business analysis, planning and reporting

* Strong ability to influence others thinking and present highly complex issues in a straightforward manner

* Excellent oral, presentation and written communication with a strong ability to communicate and present in a concise, clear, and articulate manner

* Ability to develop and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the organization

* Ability to be flexible, adapt quickly to change and realign business priorities

* Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Power Point, Word, Access, and an advanced Excel user)

* Ability to proficiently work with and use enterprise reporting databases, such as Splunk, ODB, MS Access. SQL coding considered a major asset

* Proficient with Perspective, Maximo, or other CMMS and reporting systems and methodology

* Ability to manipulate and interpret data, predict trends, establish priorities and problem solve

* Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to process design with strong business acumen and maintain a customer centric approach

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
