Analyst, Confidentiality and Cybersecurity

The mission of this sector is to define, through analysis and risk management, operational strategy of IT security and implement controls to ensure the protection of informational resources, compliance and safe operation of networks and infrastructure to maintain their integrity, availability and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

* Ensure that all business and technology projects as well as the IT change management process adopt the concept of privacy by design and privacy by default;

* Participate in activities to maintain GDPR, PIPEDA and applicable privacy laws;

* Coordinate the processing of privacy requests;

* Maintain and update the register of data processing activities;

* Monitor the evolution of Canadian and international privacy regulations;

* Execute and compile regular audits and reports on confidentiality and report identified risks;

* Implement an ongoing privacy training and awareness program for employees;

* Analyze and report on the effectiveness of the privacy program;

* Assist in the development and execution of confidentiality controls;

* Participate in investigations related to IT systems or information security incidents;

* Conduct research on threats, products and services in support of IT security policies;

* Participate in the development or improvement of IT security processes;

* Contribute to the review and drafting of policies, guidelines, standards and corporate security procedures;

* Contribute to the various projects and initiatives of the Cybersecurity Strategic Plan.

Requirements

* Bachelor or diploma in informatics;

* Knowledge of Canadian and international privacy laws, regulations and best practices (E.g. GDPR. PIPEDA);

* Ability to identify privacy issues and associated mitigation;

* Experience in process and compliance of operational IT security;

* Certification in the field of IT security;

* Strong analytical and reporting skills;

* Knowledge of good-practice frameworks or standards (ISO27002, COBIT, ITIL);

* Demonstrates rigor, integrity and professionalism;

* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;

* Good judgment in assessing risk and threat;

* Bilingual, English / French, spoken and written;

* Solid understanding of current privacy standards, as well as knowledge of actual and upcoming privacy laws;

* Working experience on Internal Audits, especially in the context of Data Privacy regulations;

* Experience with General Data Protection Regulations and Electronic Privacy Regulations compliance ;

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;

* Previous technical writing experience an asset;

* Ability to interpret and analyze data/documentation;

* Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies;

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
