About The Job

This job is a member of the Charters Team within the Networking & Scheduling Division. This position will be responsible for leading client interactions; including pricing negotiation, contracting, planning, delivery, as well as post analysis on each charter operation. Additionally, analyst will take on projects focused on analyzing and developing our charters business model and processes to better align to American’s core business by working collaboratively with all groups inside Network Planning, Operations and the Commercial organization.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* ​​Interfaces with various operational groups (Airports, FBOs, Security, Catering Operations, IOC, Legal, etc.) to coordinate departures, arrivals, aircraft servicing, and ground handling

* Solves complex problems by developing innovative solutions with consideration for areas any potential impact could exist

* Drives consensus on standard operating procedures working collaboratively with peers

* Determines viability of charters through risk-benefit and profitability analysis while being mindful of aircraft opportunity cost both operationally and financially

* Drives business decisions through the use of data and best practices developing dependable and efficient processes and metrics

* Presents results and makes recommendations to leaders

* Flexibility in work schedule to be available remotely on nights and weekends occasionally as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* ​​​​Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications

* ​​​​2 years experience in airline Network Planning, Revenue Management or Financial analysis

* Ability to understand the airline business, commercial goals, airline or general aviation operations, and how to translate these concepts into strategic business objectives

* Proven analytical skills, including ability to logically structure analysis of complex issues and develop creative solutions

* Ability to be flexible in adapting to new ideas/approaches and business processes

* Ability to work with cross-functional groups and quickly develop relationships

* Ability to effectively manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis

* Ability to have strong customer service and account management experience desired

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, an advanced knowledge of Excel, Outlook, etc
