Loganair operates a comprehensive network of scheduled and charter flights around the United Kingdom, but predominately in Scotland.  The company continues to grow and develop and it now has around 700 members of staff, in various departments, including, Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground and Customer Services, Safety and Compliance, Commercial, Finance and Operations.  We have stations throughout the United Kingdom, including: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Norwich, Kirkwall, Sumburgh, Wick, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Campbeltown, Barra, Benbecula, Tiree and Islay.

 

A vacancy exists within the Engineering Airworthiness Support team, notably Airworthiness Support Officer.

 

The role requires an enthusiastic individual, working as part of a small team, with an excellent eye for detail, able to work to defined high standards and keep the virtual aircraft records up-to-date.

 

The position involves reviewing and taking action on any received flown sector or maintenance paperwork received from across the Loganair network.  This paperwork arrives in the form of Technical Log Sheets, Work Orders and Base Maintenance Work Packages. Using the Engineering OASES system, you will ensure that any components are changed, any maintenance activities are accomplished, any defects are coded and recorded. This will ensure that the OASES system is maintained to an up-to-date status for both maintenance due and known open acceptable defects.

 

The Airworthiness Support team also co-ordinate the printing and paperwork support for all the Base Maintenance work packages to a prescribed company standard.  The team also supports the base checks, by ensuring that the Aircraft Tech Logs are serviced during each of the aircrafts routine base inputs.

 

The Airworthiness Support team are responsible for the storage of each aircraft’s historical maintenance records, within our off-site storage facility; being required to locally retain key certification documents to evidence on-going compliance.

 

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of OASES system (or similar) and experience on the Microsoft Packages.  Full ‘on the job’ training will be provided.  He or she should also be able to demonstrate the ability to identify areas needing attention, prioritize daily tasks and work speedily towards a solution, with minimum supervision.
