Airport Services Ground Trainer - NSW

An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated person to join the Regional Express team as an Airport Services Ground Trainer in Ramp Operations (with scope to train in Customer Service & Check-in for suitable candidate). This is a full-time role based at Sydney Airport.

Reporting
This position reports to the Airport Services Ground Training & Project Manager.

Position Responsibility
•Facilitation and delivery of ground operations training in Airport Ramp duties.
•Ensuring all staff are trained to the highest level in accordance with Regional Express standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
•Ensure staff maintain currency.
•Accountability in the first instance, for company procedural and regulatory compliance.
•Ensuring operational compliance by providing appropriate training to staff and contractors at Hub and Rex Outport locations.
•Maintain accurate and up to date Training Records.
•Assist in the development of training programs.
•Complete paperwork and administrative requirements of the Ground Training Department in a timely manner.
•Other tasks as requested by the Airport Services Ground Training Manager.

Essential Selection Criteria
•Airline or industry experience mandatory (minimum 5 years).
•Certificate 4 in Work Place Training and Assessment, or if deemed necessary the willingness to undertake and complete the program or to complete key competencies as part of the program.
•The ability to competently facilitate Training & Assessment activities.
•Conversant with major airport operations and regularity requirements.
•Proven ability to manage a high workload under pressure with changing priorities.
•Self starter with the ability to operate remotely unsupervised.
•Must be a decision-maker and organiser in order to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing environment.
•Be customer focussed and driven.
•Must have highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal) capable of delivering classroom and on the job training.
•Must be a team player.
•Must possess a sense of urgency, be resourceful and passionate about what you do.
•A sense of personal responsibility for outcomes.
•Flexibility to travel on a regular basis to any Rex port throughout Australia.
•Demonstrated report writing and record keeping skills.
•Working knowledge of MS office suite software.
•Thorough understanding of Airline Ramp operations.
•Knowledge and understanding of Rex company policies and procedures.
