Airport Electrical Engineer

Oaklands Global are currently looking for and Airport Electrical Engineer to join an already established team at one of London’s airports.

The successful candidate will be joining a small team and working with the wider airport team of over 100 employees.

The main purpose of this role is to provide a routine maintenance, installation and repair of a wide range of facilities and equipment at the airport.

You should be familiar with both single and three phase electrical services, and will be undertaking planned maintenance as well responding to situations as they arise. This will involve you producing work of the highest standards that meets current legislation and compliance with CAP168 requirements

Main responsibilities of an Airport Electrical Engineer:

• Defining electrical requirements and improvements
• Ensure that safety standards are kept, recommending any necessary improvements or maintenance
• Installation of services and equipment such as: power systems, lighting, fire protection, security and data-network systems
• Keeping records of repair, replacement and alterations to the airport services and equipment
• Occasional night shift due to operational restrictions

About you:

The ideal candidate will have a previous experience in a similar or aviation sector role (electrical contracting or engineering background). The applicant should be able to deal with unexpected in a peaceful and logical way, finding the right solution while following laid down procedures.

Essential requirements:

• Full UK driving licence 
• Clean up to date DBS check 
• Relevant Level 3 City and Guilds Qualification 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 
• GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or above in Mathematics and English
