We have an exciting opportunity for an Airframe & Powerplant Supervisor located in Palmdale, CA. This positionisresponsible for overseeingthe daily operations of the A & P department.Plans and directssubordinatestoachieveassignments using establishedguidelines, procedures andpolicies.Directsmaintenance and inspections and thetechnicaltroubleshooting and analysis of problems.Establishesandmodifiesoperationalprocedurestoimprovemaintainability of aircraft.Develops and maintainsuptodateaccuratedocumentationand reports toreflectdepartmentactivities.Develops programs and procedures forthetraining of assignedpersonnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides leadershipanddirectsthe daily operation of assigned staffbyprioritizingand scheduling work assignments including deployment in support of company and customeroperations.
* Oversees the progressofdeployedtechniciansand provides directionandguidance as required.
* Identifiesissuesand provides leadershipin developing solutionstocomplexproblems. Determines feasibilityof repair or replacement.
* Developsprograms and proceduresforthe training of personnel whileensuringtrainingrequirements are met.
* Representstheorganizationwith outside vendors andcustomersregardingmaintenance,inspection or repair.
* May assistin the developmentandexecution of company policies affecting currentoperationsthatmayalsohave a company-wide impact.
* Participatesinthe planning, attraction,selection,retention and development of personnel toensuretheavailability of the requiredprofessionaltalent.
* Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitiveinformation.
* Responsibleforobservingall laws, regulationsandother applicable obligationswherever and wheneverbusinessis conducted on behalf of the Company. Expectedtomaintain a productiveandsafeworkingenvironmentin accordance withestablishedoperating procedures and practices.
* The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
* Otherduties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

* Typically requires a bachelor’sdegreeand six or moreyears of complexexperienceinaircraftmaintenance.Additionalprofessionalexperience may be substitutedin lieu of education.
* Strong working knowledge and understanding of FAA aircraft and engine maintenance and repair concepts, regulations and practices as well as a mechanics license is desired but not required.
* Must haveleadershipskills includingorganizing, planning, scheduling and coordinatingworkloadstomeet established deadlinesandmilestones.
* Must possess the ability toresolve moderately complex issues.
* Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskillstoaccuratelydocument, report andpresentfindings and good computer skills.
* Strong interpersonalskillstoeffectivelyinterfacewithall levels of employees, including providing directiontoandschedulingworkofassignedstaff.
* Ability towork independently and lead in a team environmentisessentialasis the ability to work extended hoursandtravel as required.
* The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
