MPI Telford have a requirement within the School of Army Aeronautical Engineering @ RAF Lyneham, Chippenham, WIltshire SN15 4XX for Aviation Technical Instructors in the Avionics & Airframe/Propulsion trade disciplines.
This is an ongoing contract up to one year - possibly extended at customer requirements.
Paying £18.52 per hour PAYE / £23.27 per hour Ltd.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Avionics or Aircraft Training Managers for classroom and practical instruction on any topic within either the Avionics or Airframe/Propulsion discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have served a recognised apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training, and have obtained an ONC, BTEC or NVQ in the Avionic or Airframe/Propulsion Trade Discipline.
Candidates should also have 10 years practical experience in the trade.
Selection for this post will be by Trade Test, Lecturette and Interview.
Essential requirements:
a.An apprenticeship in Aviation Maintenance or equivalent relevant period of training, with experience of no less than 10 years, in practical aviation maintenance.
b.Cert Ed/CTLLS qualifications or equivalent. (or DTTTv2 if ex military)
c.Enhanced CRB.
d.IT Literate.
