An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aircraft Technical Services Supervisor to join BN Aviation Limited, a subsidiary of the Britten-Norman Limited, producer of one of the most successful civil aircraft ever manufactured in the UK. 

Britten-Norman also manufactures a highly versatile, low cost surveillance aircraft type which is in use with a number of military and police operators world-wide including the UK’s Army Air Corps.

This role is based at our Lee-on-the-Solent premises.

Purpose of the role:

To ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation is raised, completed and recorded correctly.

All work is to be conducted in accordance with current Company procedures and the Quality Management System (QMS). The aim of the post is to ensure that the aircraft maintenance events are accurately scheduled, recorded and completed.

Primary Tasks

Main tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all Base and Line maintenance documentation, Hangar Projects are raised and completed in accordance with all BNAv procedures, and in accordance with the QMS.
  • Support Continuing Airworthiness / Maintenance Management and Supervision to ensure Product Quality Standards are maintained and Products and Services conform to Approved Data, Contractual Requirements and Procedures.
  • Assist with the management of the arrival and departure standards of aircraft in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Update Aircraft / Engine / Propeller / Modification log books Company Operating System with flying hours from Technical Log
  • Build / maintain relationships with internal or external stakeholders as required.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrate understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Schedules, Airworthiness Directives and other safety publications.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload, to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Package (including but not limited to Work and Excel) Team Working: Effective in a team and as an individual, with strong management and leadership skills. 

Minimum Education & Qualification Requirements:

  • Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or military equivalent.
  • A City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in aircraft engineering.
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English.

 

Required Experience

  • Proven experience within Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Previous experience of working with EASA Part-M & Part-145 regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Proven experience of coordination of Technical Records.
