Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Senior Aircraft Survivability System Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems related to Test and Evaluation of Aircraft Survivability Equipment. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Candidate will provide system engineering functions for infrared pointer/tracker and laser countermeasure systems. System engineering will focus on EMD Qualification and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), production issue management and tracking, design changes and operation/performance issues, and informing decision makers of required modification for production. Candidate will participate in test planning, scheduling, and logistics and will be required to support on-site test activities according to customer driven requirements and schedules. Candidate must have a working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) and Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) and must be capable conducting meetings and interacting with other agencies to ensure objectives are understood and requirements met. Candidate will work closely with test engineers, customers and stake holders.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have a BS in Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited school with 3 or more years of system engineering experience.

Candidate will work closely with Product Managers as part of a system engineering team and work closely with a test team to establish test requirements and analyze data from tests for evaluating system performance with respect to specifications.

Candidate will help identify and track production related issues, make recommendations, and support activities leading up to impending milestone decisions.

Candidate must have strong technical skills to understand the technologies being tested, have good leadership and communication skills, and have DoD related system engineering experience.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
