Aircraft Structures Technician (AME "S")

Flying Colours Corp. is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Technician (AME "S"). This position is located in Peterborough, ON, CA.

Job Description
Requires specialized knowledge of aircraft structural fabrication methods, including repairing, modifying, refurbishing, and fabricating structural and other components.

Duties:

* Work with aircraft structural materials and are involved in the repair, installation, modification and inspection of these materials.
* Assemble, fit and install aircraft skins, frames and structural parts.
* Assemble structures including sheet metal extrusion and composite structures.
* Possess knowledge of assembly jigs and tools.
* Will also work with completed assemblies and are system integrators.

Qualifications

* Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational/or technical training.
* AME "S" Aircraft License.
* At least 5 years of licensed aircraft structural experience is required.
* Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings as well as other written instructions and design specifications.
* Strong mathematical knowledge is required, as is the ability to make accurate measurements and finish materials to a high level of quality and prevision.
* Ability to calculate weight and balance data.
* Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, and sheet metal equipment.
* Excellent planning, organization and coordination skills
* Excellent judgement, strong attention to detail.

Work Hours: Rotating "4-on, 4-off" 6:30 am to 6:30 pm schedule. (occasional overtime may be required)
