Overview

Maintain aircraft, engine, APU and component records in accordance with company and federal regulatory requirements. Assist internal and/or external departments and internal and/or external customers (Lessors) with records requests. Convert dirty finger print aircraft records into digital format for archiving and retrieving. Perform a final audit review of hard copy records for proper disposition.

Responsibilities

* Audit aircraft records for completeness upon receipt.
* Convert records to digital format and retain all dirty finger print historical records of airframe, components, engines and APUs in accordance with company and federal regulations.
* Perform quarterly audits of records to ensure accuracy and integrity of paper vs. electronic files.
* Provide support to internal and/or external departments and internal and/or external customers regarding record requests.
* Provide support for all internal and external company and federal agency audits.
* Generate periodic status summaries and recommendations to the Manager of Aircraft Records for the continual enhancement of the records system process.
* May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments.)

Qualifications

* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Minimum 1 year of experience working with training, office, and or aircraft records.
* Travel required 10% to various Compass locations and/or vendors. [Could be domestic and/or international travel]
* Proficiency in math is required.
* Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Adobe Acrobat.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of aircraft records requirements and processes.
* Be familiar with the industry General Maintenance Manuals, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Air Transport Association (ATA) Coding.
* Communicate effectively in written and verbal form to various levels of the organization.
* Responsible for the successful reviewing, processing, filing and maintaining of aircraft records resulting from preventative maintenance, inspection, repair or overhaul of the aircraft and the associated components.
* Professionally represent the Company to internal and external entities.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

* 2 year associate’s degree in aviation related field or 5 years of aviation experience with a 14 CFR Part 121 airline in lieu of associate’s degree.
* Ability to program and perform calculations using database software/spreadsheets.
* Airframe & Powerplant license strongly preferred.

Physical Demands:

* Movement of documents/records.
* Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
