We have an opportunity for an Aircraft Mechanic (I) - Structures/Hydraulics to support our Contractor Field Team (CFT) at NAS Jacksonville, FL. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Aircraft Mechanic I will have the ability to troubleshoot malfunctions in various aircraft systems and be able to perform general Organizational, and selected Intermediate and Depot, Level maintenance, and will possess one or more of the following specialties of the assigned aircraft: * P-3C Aircraft Airframe structural repair and hydraulic system maintenance * P-3C Landing Gear and Flight Control maintenance * P-3C Fuel Cell maintenance and repair / re-seal * IMC (Phase) inspection * Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) Responsibilities include: * Performing requirements in accordance with the established procedures * Executing diagnosis and corrective actions; disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs; lays out work according to technical instructions and technical directives * Determining what repairs, modifications, and part replacements are required and perform required in-process and final inspections as required * May be required to verify work performed by another for which he/she is qualified to perform Education and Experience Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent * Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working on P3C and EP-3E aircraft * Previous military schools (Air Frame/Hydraulic, Paint/Final Finish, QA, NALCOMIS, Aircraft Confined Space) highly desired. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English * Current drivers’ license; current or Previous Ground Support Equipment (GSE) License a plus. * Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professionalism Working Conditions * Moves about both inside aircraft hangar and outside on aircraft ramp within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft * Must be able to stand, bend, climb, squat, and sit for extended periods while performing tasks * Must be able to lift/pull/tug up to 50 lbs Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
