ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic I (Electrician) to support our Contractor Field Team at NAS JRB Ft. Worth, TX. This position will require an active DoD Secret clearance to start. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Perform inspections, scheduled, unscheduled and upkeep maintenance on three Navy C-40A, B737NG aircraft * Troubleshoot malfunctions in all aircraft system categories, at the organizational maintenance level * Read schematics and block diagrams to identify non-routine malfunctions and demonstrate approved techniques in the repair of the discrepancy * Research aircraft modification history, technical orders, service bulletins and effectivity codes to ensure correct procedures and replacement parts are utilized * Identify failed components, utilize maintenance publications to requisition replacement parts, identify required hazmat and maintenance procedures for operational checks * Perform software loads to complete repairs and perform software upgrades as required * Replace defective control units, relays, boards, servo units, indicating instruments, or other components of the electrical and environmental systems, and perform final testing of related and affected electrical, and instrument systems * Properly document all maintenance actions; adhere to all safety, hazmat, tool control and quality assurance procedures * Perform Intermediate and Depot-level repairs assisting in modifications and changes on electrical, instrument, and other integrated electrical, avionics systems Education and Experience Requirements * Qualified candidates will have working knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and circuitry * General understanding of the basic principles underlying electronics * Demonstrated knowledge of AC and DC power supplies * Possess a basic understanding of aircraft electrical systems and their interrelationships * High school diploma or equivalent required Physical Effort: Work requires standing, stooping, bending, and reaching. Frequent handling, lifting, and carrying objects that weigh 40-50 lbs. Working Conditions: Work is performed in closed-in areas that are usually noisy and dirty, and where there is a constant danger to the skin and eyes from flying metal chips and abrasive particles; skin irritation from contact with coolants, lubricants, and abrasive compounds; danger to fingers, hands, and other parts of the body from cutting tools, grinding wheels, rotating pieces, and moving parts of machines.
