ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have opportunities for experienced Aircraft Fuels Mechanics to support our FRCSW contract at MCAS Miramar, CA. By utilizing state-of-the-art management systems, the FRC program provides world-class support to Navy and Marine Corps tactical, logistical and rotary wing aircraft and their components. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Read and follow government provided technical data, blueprints, engineering drawings, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing specifications in the maintenance processes in order to: * Perform duties of tow team member/ tow brake operator/ tow supervisor * Remove and install access plates and doors, miscellaneous parts and components * Perform fuel dock operational checks * Clear aircraft when applying electrical power and when using AGE and support equipment; and use aircraft ground safety devices * Remove, install, and leak check single point refueling, fuel jettison, aircraft integral tanks, and fuel tank components * Perform preliminary, fuel vent system, and final fuel tank leak checks * Bucket drain and air purge all fuel tanks; repair and seal leaks as required in fuel system * Remove, seal, install, and leak check auxiliary and external tank components, install all fuel tank foam, and perform final closeout * Clear aircraft when applying electrical power and when using AGE and support equipment; and use aircraft ground safety devices * Perform LEL tests on aircraft * Remove foam and follow all proper foam storage procedures * Perform oxygen analyzer test on aircraft and final inspection of aircraft areas * Refuel, defuel and load, unload system purge fluid * Remove poly top coat inside main fuel tanks * Properly identify and tag parts and components for routing to appropriate repair shops. Complete required documentation, i.e., 173 cards, definitive sheets, 781, and/or other applicable work documents * Properly position and utilize equipment, work stands and fall protection devices including motorized aerial, scissor lifts and other motorized power lifts; operate Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) to include, but not limited to, hydraulic test stands, aircraft jacks, nitrogen carts, work stands and scaffolds; high pressure washers (hydro-blasters), Hepa-filtered vacuums and high pressure air hoses Education and Experience Requirements * High school diploma or GED * Minimum of 2 years of experience as a fuels mechanic Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
