An excellent opportunity for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer has arisen at a major aerospace company. This position is based in Bedfordshire although global travel to customer sites will be required.

The successful Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will have a strong background in light and heavy overhaul of aerospace engines following strict aviation regulations. The position will ideally suit someone with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in engine stripping and rebuild.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Strong hands-on aerospace engine experience
  • Responsible for repairing engines and certifying the repairs once complete
  • Good customer communication skills, issuing regular status and technical reports
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry regulations
  • Commercial awareness

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of working on engines such as Trent 7000, 500, 800 and XWB; PW3000, PW500 and PW1000G
  • As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer candidates should have either worked directly within an MRO or a certified Pratt and Whitney service centre
  • Previous experience of working on PW3000, PW500, PW600 or PT-6 is ideal, although specific P&W engine experience is not essential
  • The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will possess machine room skills using lathes, drills and component balancing
