Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship Programme (Full Time - Based at East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington with off-site training in the Cotswolds)

We are part of the DHL Express team with our headquarters at East Midlands Airport in the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals with an avid interest in engineering to apply to join us as an aircraft maintenance apprentice. The 30 month programme includes 4 months off-site with our training provider in their state of the art facilities in the Cotswolds. Following this you will be training by working, hands-on, on our aircraft alongside our highly respected, skilled and knowledgeable maintenance and engineering teams at East Midlands Airport.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved an EASA Pt 66 ‘A1’ Aircraft Maintenance Licence. This will enable you to take full advantage of your new skills and knowledge by being one of the team certifying aircraft fit for flight.

In order to join us you must be highly motivated with excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. You will need the ability to use your own initiative and work well under pressure. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and team working skills are also essential. Shift work will be required as part of the role (including days, nights, weekends and Bank/Public Holidays)

You will hold 5 GCSEs A-C (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science. Additionally, you will hold (or be predicted) 2 A-Levels grades A-C (or equivalent) in Mathematics or Science related subjects or as alternative have completed equivalent qualifications e.g. a BTec or City and Guilds in relevant subjects.
