Investigations Assist in carrying out air accident/incident investigations assigned by the Assistant Director General/Director - Air Accident Investigation according to ICAO Annex 13, CAR Part VI, Chapter 3 and AAI Investigation Manual. Responsibilities of Duty Investigator when assigned by Assistant Director General /Director - Air Accident Investigation, in managing immediate notifications of accidents/incidents. Investigation Report Prepare the required notifications according to the standards. Prepare the IIC’s assigned factual reports according to the standard format. Follow up on the implementation of safety recommendations proposed in the issued Final Reports in order to ensure the effectiveness of recommendations and compliance of stakeholders Database and Knowledge Sharing Participate in national and international seminars and workshops to gain knowledge and skills in investigation resources management. Update the investigation database. Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures Recommend improvements to departmental policy and the implementation of procedures and controls covering these areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers. Health, Safety and Environment Fulfil the requirements of the relevant safety concerns such as blood-borne pathogens, extreme natural hazards such as heat, freezing weather, swamps, deserts, or mountains. Travel to the accident site may require strenuous walking, hiking and climbing in adverse topographic, weather, and atmospheric conditions and hazardous material, requiring appropriate vaccinations and personal protective equipment (PPE). Fulfil the requirements of the relevant UAE environmental management policies and procedures. Make initiatives to the Director - Air Accident Investigation regarding the safeguarding of the investigators safety and a well-protected environment including training or equipment requirements. Continuous Improvement Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of regulations, systems, processes, technologies and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’. Accept the changes made at GCAA corporate level and directed by the Director - Air Accident Investigation
