Aero Engine Technician Tester

Job Purpose

 

Carry out testing of aircraft engines in line with customer requirements and manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. 

 

Main Responsibilities

 

• Prepare, test and de-cart engine in accordance with engineering/OEM instructions.
• Carry out basic fault finding, repairs & maintenance on engine, operating system and plant equipment.
• Carry out full and partial module changes.
• Provide technical support to the Test Facility Local Management Team, engine programmes and vendors.

•  Ensure all items required for test are to required specifications and available in agreed turn time targets

• Carry out final checks on completed units ensuring all paperwork is stamped correctly.
• Assist Test Engineer when required.

•  Assist in Inventory and Final Finishing of Engines.

   

  Other Responsibilities

   

• Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations
• Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
• Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
• Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
• Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder.  Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external departments

 

Any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the management team

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
• Computer literate
