Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 60 destinations throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.

Rex Finance Department, located in Mascot, Sydney, has opportunities for two Accounts Clerks. One is a Full-time Permanent position, the other is a Full-time 12-month contract, and both would be suited to recent accountancy graduates or entry level applicants.

Reporting
This position reports to the Accountant.

Position Responsibility
•Assists in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other tasks within the Finance department
•Fixed asset register maintenance
•Monthly bank reconciliations
•Preparation and lodgement of monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
•General filing, scanning and other administrative duties

Essential Selection Criteria
•Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent
•Knowledge in accounting
•Computer literacy with Microsoft suite, in particular Excel
•Ability to work accurately with high volume of data to meet deadlines
•Effective communication skills
