Accounting Officer

Department: Financial Services

Reports to: Accountant

Job Summary:

The Services Accounting team of our Financial Services Department aims to provide professional advice and accurate information to line departments in assisting them to handle all accounting related issues. We are looking for a customer-oriented accounting expertise to join the Financial Accounting Services Manager team as an Accounting Officer to provide general accounting and administrative support to the team.

Key responsibilities:

* Provide accounting services and support to assigned line departments

* Prepare month end closing and other financial reports and analysis for assigned line departments

* Process invoices, expenses claims and account receivable

* Handle accounting and follow up issues, in particular on significant fluctuations in the Budgetary Control Report

* Prepare monthly schedules and analysis reports

* Reconcile suspense and accrual accounts and prepare journal adjustments

* Assist in forecasting and budgeting

* Perform other ad hoc assignments as and when required

Requirements:

* HKCEE/DSE standard with a pass in English (Syll B) or grade 2 in English or equivalent

* LCCI intermediate or above in accounting is preferable

* Minimum 1 year relevant experience with basic accounting knowledge

* Good command of spoken English and Cantonese

* Strong computer skills in MS office (e.g. Excel, MS Word)

* Customer-oriented with polished interpersonal and communication skills

* Open-minded and able to accept feedback and/or criticism

* Experience in using SAP will be advantageous
