Accountant
Responsible for accounting policies and procedures involving the maintenance of a precise general ledger, analysis of balance sheet accounts, and management financial reporting. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting (or Business degree with strong emphasis in accounting courses).
*
1-3 years work experience in a general accounting environment preferably with a large corporation.
*
SAP/Deltek CostPoint experience preferred.
*
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint & Access.
*
Good written and verbal communications skills to enable effective interaction with various levels of company personnel.
*
Flexibility for occasional overtime and/or pre-scheduled weekend work. KBR has a 9/80 alternative work week schedule.
