Role Summary:

Provide onshore support to clients and offshore chemists in the fulfilment of account requirements whilst ensuring all HSEQ requirements are met

Essential Responsibilities:

*

Onshore coordination of chemical sampling, testing and analysis completed offshore

*

Management of technical projects and chemical trials

*

Day to Day production chemistry support for a client asset, interfacing with the relevant client functions and departments.

*

Management of chemical supply, stock projections, relevant forecasting

*

Day to day management of staff, including work allocation and planning, allocation of leave requests, absence management, HSE investigations, employee development and training and performance feedback

*

Coordinate laboratory work scopes, providing technical assistance to support customer accounts

*

Responsible for the HSE of the project, the employees and in ensuring full compliance with all company standards

*

Other ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

*

Degree qualified or equivalent

*

Degree qualification in Chemistry or similar science would be beneficial

*

Experience of working in production chemicals/oilfield chemistry

*

Experience of supporting customer accounts and co-ordination of offshore activities, scheduling and forecasting

*

Experience of managing technical projects, chemical trials as well as chemical supplies

*

Experience of providing chemical services in an offshore environment

*

Experience of working in a chemical laboratory would be beneficial

*

Experience of supporting a chemical services account would be beneficial

*

Experience of supervision/allocation of duties to a small team of staff would be beneficial

*

Experience of managing the day to day requirements regarding the management of personnel, which includes but is not limited to the allocation of workload, general training, coaching, motivating and mentoring of staff.

*

Experience of working with HSE and QA standards and practices

*

Experience of handling and resolving chemical production and scheduling issues

*

Awareness of chemical hazards and general health, safety, environment and welfare considerations

*

Knowledge of various chemical testing methods

*

Knowledge of HSE and general housekeeping responsibilities within a chemical environment, particularly in relation to the supervision of personnel

*

Knowledge of quality standards required within a chemical environment

*

Skills in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly excel and powerpoint
