Account Manager Leisure Sales - Sales Homemarlket Sales

Job Objective

The Account Manager Leisure Sales is responsible for reaching sales targets and maximizing revenues in identified leisure sales segments for LHG and JVs. She/he manages and develops customer portfolios, mainly through personal sales visits.

In addition, she/he applies an entrepreneurial mindset to constantly look for new ways to develop revenue through partnerships, new contracting approaches, multiple distribution options and preferred product displays. She/he is part of the Execute Sales process acting as key interface to the customer.

Key Result Areas

* Key result area 1: Contracting

* Comprehensive preparation of contract negotiations (including quotations) in close cooperation with the assigned Account Steering Expert.

* Negotiate contracts and manage the assigned customer portfolio with clear focus on revenue quality and growth of business

* Develop a long-term commercial relationship with assigned key accounts

* Coordinate the implementation of new distribution solutions for relevant agencies, acting as interface between the customer and the distribution expert teams.

* Key result area 2: Steering & Monitoring

* Build a yearly Account Plan for assigned key accounts towards the completion of up- and cross-selling objectives.

* Carry a monthly evaluation of portfolio performance with Account Steering experts.

* Maintain the CRM database according to the Airline Group rules, enabling correct account information at all times.

* Master and maintain a vast knowledge of client’s business, competition and the latest industry news and trends.

* The Account Manager is also responsible for the implementation of the Account Plan in order to reach the yearly objectives.

* Implement strict follow-up on sales visits and organize a visit planning according to guidelines received from Market Steering

* Key result area 3: Sales products & programs

* Act as sales entrepreneur by evaluating and implementing new sales products and programs in order to stimulate further revenue growth.

* Organize and initiate sales promotion activities as well as incentives and ad-hoc deals

* Key result area 4: PR & events

* Represent the Group on external events (fair, sales promotional actions, marketing activities with travel industry partners and associations, sales blitz, roadshows, product presentations, etc.) in order to strengthen the airline group visibility in the market.

* Key result area 5: Business Development

* Identify new business opportunities in assigned segments to further develop own client portfolio (new accounts). Prospecting new customers, finding new sales leads/business opportunities in order to grow sales revenues.

Your Profile

* Minimum bachelor degree (tourism, marketing or commercial)

* 2-3 years experience in the travel or airline industry

* Languages : Dutch, French and English, spoken and written - German is an asset

* MS Office standard suite

* Strong interpersonal skills

* A polite, friendly and diplomatic manner

* Active listening skills, good negotiation skills

* A good sense of humour

* Ability to prioritise and manage several different tasks at once

* Team spirit

* Strong sales & communication skills

* Group Airline product knowledge is an asset

* Know the Belgian market

* Overall understanding of airline booking and ticketing is an asset

* Driving license B

* Willingness to work after regular office hours to attend business events, fares, ...
