This exciting new role will be responsible for the development and management of Jetstar’s corporate business in New Zealand. This role will require a motivated, energetic and driven professional to identify and execute targeted sales initiatives and develop relationships with key stakeholders

The role is based in Auckland and responsibility spans Jetstar’s Corporate and Government sales across New Zealand. The successful applicant will work closely with Jetstar’s commercial team to develop and execute the New Zealand sales business plan

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, Australia & New Zealand, your main accountabilities will include:

• Growing Corporate and Government business both directly, via Travel Management Companies and in coordination with Qantas as appropriate.
• Establishing and fostering relationships with key trade partners, corporates, government and industry bodies to present the Jetstar value proposition, remove factors inhibiting sales, identify new revenue opportunities and manage corporate and government accounts
• Effectively managing a pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales targets
• Ensuring key trade partners are equipped with systems and product knowledge to book and manage Jetstar flights
• Hosting training and briefing sessions for targeted customers
• Representing Jetstar at industry and government events to support business acquisition strategies
• Coordinating efforts with Qantas as required and support the broader Qantas Group Commercial presence in New Zealand

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• Experience in a travel industry sales or account management role
• Degree or alternative Tertiary level qualification highly regarded
• Business development – B2B and/or B2B2C customer acquisition
• Creating and executing sales plans
• Numerical, analytical and computer skills
• Negotiation and strong influencing skills
• Experience hosting and presenting to professional groups
• A proven understanding of

o Travel Industry procedures and systems, ideally with a strong network of contacts
o Corporate travel customer needs
o Managing a sales opportunity pipeline
