JOB SUMMARY:

To repair, maintain, overhaul and troubleshoot airframes, engine systems, parts and components. Performs 100 hour and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft. This position requires travel within the
Florida area. When not traveling, will be working at the Tampa Florida Service Center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer.

2. Performs turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair and engine run-ups.

* Conducts airframe system, component changes and systems checkout.

* Performs installation of service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines.

* Requires knowledge of 100 hour, annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in FAR 43.

3. Uses equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and a variety of hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.

4. Responsible only for own work.

5. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority (if applicable).

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

* High school education or equivalent required

* A&P License is required

* Requires use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications plus knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.

EXPERIENCE:

* Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance.

* Preferred experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repair of aircraft.

* Valid state driver’s license

* Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority.

Work Days/Hours:

* Thursday – Saturday

* 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
