Job Role:
Excel are delighted to be working on behalf of a new client, a globally known name and a world leader in R+D and production of aircraft systems.
As part of our cooperation we have been given a number of exciting and varied roles for their purpose built UK facility - in this case we are looking for two Supplier Quality Engineers to join on a permanent basis.
The roles are focused on general Quality assessment of suppliers, from their internal quality management systems, their compliance methods and quality of their compliance and of course their overall supply chain statistics, from accuracy of response to lead times. You will effectively form the link between internal buyers and external suppliers and will be expected to forge strong relationships while maintaining a business focused attitiude.
This will involve regular global travel (around 50%) and regular audit and assessment projects and reports in conjunction with Supply Chain Management.
You will also have responsibility for maintaining the supplier database, be involved in the assessment of new suppliers and liaise with internal stakeholders regularly to assess supplier competence from their point of view.
To be considered you must be able to show previous experience of Supplier Quality assessment from start to finish and be able to consider what acceptable and what isnt to a multimillion pound aero production company.
You must be a strong communicator with a good grounding in engineering practices and principles and have a very good understanding of Quality Management Systems, their interpretation and implementation.
