Textron Aviation is made up of several business units, this opportunity is located within the Piston Business Unit.

This position is based in Wichita, KS at the Textron Aviation Employees’ Flying Club (TAEFC). Initially the intern will receive an introduction to the policies and procedures of the TAEFC. They will then perform various tasks associated with a flight school such as teach private pilot Ground School, help with processing of flight school and membership paperwork, and provide flight instruction to members and discovery flights for prospective Club members. Depending on many factors the intern can expect to give about 100 hours of flight instruction over the summer. The intern will also be given opportunities to job shadow in other departments at Textron Aviation.

Responsibilities:

* Teaches weekly Private Pilot Groundschool sessions.

* Processes member paperwork relating to the club and flight training process.

* Provides flight training to interns and other members.

* Answers phones and responds to members questions.

* Schedules and Performs discovery flights for prospective Club members.

* Performs tasks related to the operation of a professional flight training operation.
