Air New Zealand is recruiting for Engineering Trainees in Christchurch for our 2018 intake. Through all of our traineeships we pride ourselves in providing a strong and supportive learning environment that sets our trainees up for a successful engineering career. Within our traineeship we offer excellent training in a variety of disciplines. We have a limited number of positions available and while we are looking for strong technical skills we are also looking for people who have the attitude, maturity, motivation and drive to be great Air New Zealanders. We expect a lot from our people and they expect a lot from us. To be successful in your application you will need to have completed a Minimum of 36 weeks Level 3 pre-employment course in Aircraft Engineering and gain a minimum of a Level 3 National Certificate by December 2017. This is a mandatory requirement that you must have achieved to be considered for the traineeship. The traineeship programme is a 3 - 5 year programme, you will learn everything, from identifying and rectifying aircraft defects to modification and servicing tasks as well as performing operation and functional checks to enable aircrafts to be released back to service as airworthy. We run a 24/7 operation and you will be required to work a variety of shifts over your traineeship If successful you will become part of a large progressive company that has a commitment to customer service you will receive an excellent rate of pay and opportunities for ongoing training throughout your career.
